What to Expect At Your First Seymour Speakers Meeting

Seymour Speakers meetings are high energy, organized and very punctual. The meeting is 1 hour and 20 minutes of structured communication rolled into a lot of fun! There is a prepared agenda created by the Chair person.

You can expect the meeting to be opened by our Sergeant at Arms at 7:30 am (PT) on the dot. The Chair person will then introduce the Timer, Grammarian and Toastmaster. The first half of the meeting includes a toast by our Toastmaster, along with two prepared speeches by our members and two encouraging and effective evaluations.

After this, there will be a 5-minute break to network and meet members.

The second half includes our fun, spontaneous and inspiring impromptu speaking (Table Topics)! We then close out the meeting with reports from our Timer and Grammarian, along with announcements and finally our General Evaluator. Every role in in our meeting is evaluated to ensure growth and development for all members. The meeting is adjourned at 8:50 am (PT)!
